The safe and modern Tirrenia fleet got fundamentally renewed in the last years:
- according to an extraordinary adjustment plan the inside equipment of the main ships got renovated;
- the renovation of the kitchen area, thanks to a new catering company, with the offer of typical dishes from Sardinia, Sicily, Campania and Liguria;
- a new shopping area has been arranged, where you may find typical products of the regions reached by Tirrenia ferries;
- new special cabins for pets are at disposal;
- thanks to an agreement with Warner Bros, on board cinemas show movies 90 days after premiere;
- TV SAT are avaialble in public areas,as well asin the suits;
- GSM service on Ship is activated with roaming to all national and international operators, and WiFi service will briefly be available.
The current Tirrenia passenger fleet was built after year 2000 and can be considered as one of the most modern in the whole Mediterranean area, in accordance with the highest terms of security and reliability.
All Tirrenia ships own the Class Certificate, the Sefety Certificate for Passenger Transport and the Safety Management System Certificate.
As a result of the agreement arranged with the Italian government, the minimum standards such as size, transport capacity, capacity of parking spaces in the garage, number of cabins and minimum speed of crossing are granted.
